For salon & spa owners
The money side of running a salon, made legible
Two free tools for two numbers most owners have never seen written down: what your booking platform's fees take out of a payout, and what no-shows cost a book like yours. Both run entirely in your browser, no signup, backed by plain guides for fixing each one.
Fresha Payout Decomposer
See exactly what Fresha's fees took from a payout (card processing, the 20% new client fee, refunds), line by line down to your net, plus the journal entry to post it.
See what Fresha's fees tookNo-Show Cost Calculator & Cancellation Policy Generator
What no-shows cost you per month and year from your own counts, the deposit worth asking for, and a cancellation policy written out ready to copy.
See what no-shows cost youNo signup. Your browser reads your numbers; they never reach us.
The guides
The complete manual methods, written out in full: reconciling payouts by hand, writing a cancellation policy that holds. The pain of doing it by hand is the point; these don't skip the hard steps.
What Fresha charges, line by line
Every fee between a sale and your bank deposit, from card processing to the 20% new client fee, explained.
A salon cancellation policy clients accept
The notice window, the deposit that gives it teeth, and the wording, with a free template.
How to export your Fresha reports
Where the export lives, which report to pick, and the one thing no Fresha report includes.
What no-shows actually cost a salon
The plain arithmetic of empty chairs, what the published figures do and don't say, and the deposit maths.
Reconcile Fresha payouts in QuickBooks Online
The journal entry that makes a Fresha payout tie to your bank deposit, step by step.
Deposits on Fresha, Booksy, Square & Vagaro
What each booking platform actually supports for deposits, from their own docs. Strings included.
Reconcile Fresha payouts in Xero
The bank rule and manual journal to split a lump payout cleanly against your accounts.
A salon chart of accounts that fits
A template built around how salon money actually moves, with the specific accounts a payout needs.
Who makes this
Salon Accounts is a small set of free tools built by an operator, not an accounting firm. There's no login and nothing to buy. If a tool is useful and you'd want the work done for you automatically (the monthly bookkeeping, or deposits collected over WhatsApp), there's a spot at the end of each tool to say so. That's the only thing we ever ask for.
